How We Verify Compatibility
Last updated: March 2026
Our data source
Compatibility data on PartsCompat is sourced directly from the official BSH Group manufacturer API (bosch-home.co.uk). This is the same system used by authorised BSH service engineers and retailers.
We do not rely on user-generated data, scraped compatibility lists, or LLM-generated compatibility claims. Every part-to-model mapping has a traceable source document.
Confidence levels explained
Part retrieved directly from the BSH manufacturer API for that specific model. Highest confidence. This is the standard for all parts on PartsCompat.
Compatibility confirmed by an authorised UK retailer catalogue (Partmaster, BuySpares).
Compatibility inferred from OEM cross-reference databases. Requires manual verification before publishing.
⚠️ We only publish mappings with confidence level 3 or above. Uncertain mappings are excluded rather than published with a disclaimer.
How compatibility is determined
Compatibility is determined based on manufacturer part numbers, technical specifications, and model series matching. Each BSH appliance has a unique E-Nr (model number) that maps to a specific set of compatible spare parts in the manufacturer's system.
We query the BSH parts API using the exact E-Nr for each appliance and retrieve the official list of compatible parts. This process is repeated periodically to capture new models and updated part references.
Our limitations
Despite high confidence in our data, we always recommend verifying your exact model number (E-Nr) on the rating plate inside your appliance door before ordering. Model variants and production year changes can occasionally affect part compatibility even within the same model family.
PartsCompat is a technical documentation reference tool. We are not a repair service and accept no liability for parts ordered based on incorrect model identification.
