Stop the dishwasher cycle
Press the power button or open the door to halt operation. Wait 5 minutes for water to drain completely.

Remove the lower basket
Pull the bottom rack straight towards you until it stops. Lift it fully out and set aside on a worktop.

Locate the filter assembly
Look at the dishwasher floor. You'll see a cylindrical filter cage in the centre.

Turn the filter cap anticlockwise by hand. It lifts straight out once loosened.
